Melonee is a dedicated music teacher specializing in saxophone, flute, and piano, with 10 years of experience on flute and saxophone, 5 years of experience on piano. She teaches all levels of saxophone, as well as beginning and intermediate piano, working with students to build strong fundamentals, musical confidence, and expressive playing.

Melonee graduated Summa Cum Laude from Longwood University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Melonee has several years of experience in directing Wind Symphony and Band ensembles, as well as leading and facilitating small ensembles such as jazz combos. She performed in the premiere of several compositions on the alto saxophone.

Melonee has been trained in Jazz and Classical styles on the saxophone. While piano is newer to Melonee, she is passionate about how vital piano knowledge is to a musician and loves the freedom of playing the keyboard. She has experience performing classical and jazz on piano but prefers to teach mostly classical and contemporary music.
