Youth Lessons
The Standards of Musical Achievement (SoMA) program helps students strengthen and build upon the skills they are learning at school or on their own. It is designed to reinforce strong musical foundations while supporting steady, confident progress at each student’s individual level.
Here are some examples of what is included in SoMA youth lessons:
- Personally tailored lessons for each student
- Build foundational skills, including scales, technique, and music theory
- Explore a variety of musical genres and styles
- Develop a deeper appreciation for music
- Learn how music works through theory and structure
- Discover each student’s unique musical voice through expression and musicality
- Prepare for auditions, performances, and build stage presence
- Foster a lasting passion and enjoyment of music
- Flexible scheduling to fit your family’s needs
The SoMA program develops musicianship at the pace of each learner to ensure that each milestone is met successfully. The program also complements the public school music curriculum to develop each student’s academic success. Included in the SoMA program are studio recitals and access to performance ensembles.
