Meet Alleigh Cave

🎤 Voice 🎹 Piano

Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Alleigh Cave is a vocalist, educator, and emerging pedagogue whose work bridges classical performance, contemporary styles, and evidence-based vocal instruction. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and a Master of Music in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Boulder, Colorado.

During her undergraduate studies, she served as both section leader and assistant choir director for Lee University’s renowned all-women’s ensemble, The Ladies of Lee. She also spent four years as an aural skills tutor, founding and hosting a university-sanctioned sight-reading club designed to support musicians’ literacy and musicianship across the campus.

After relocating to Boulder, Colorado, Mrs. Cave continued to distinguish herself academically and professionally. She completed her master’s degree in May 2025 and was selected for CU Boulder’s prestigious Pedagogy Assistantship Program in her second year of study, becoming the youngest faculty member of the IMIG School of Music. In this role, she taught university-level coursework and maintained a private studio to multiple music majors within the university, helping developing singers refine technique and artistic identity.

An active performer, she spent two seasons with the CU Boulder Eklund Opera Company, including a leading mezzo-soprano role in Proving Up by Missy Mazzoli. She also served as a section leader and soloist at Applewood Valley Methodist Church outside the Denver area.

In the summer of 2024, she joined Eklund Opera’s CU NOW program as assistant director to composer Gene Scheer and librettist Bill Van Horn, collaborating closely with them in the development of their newest work, Polly Peachum. This immersive creative process allowed her to engage directly with new opera creation, supporting workshops, rehearsals, and dramaturgical exploration while shaping a work-in-progress from the ground up.

Beyond the university, Mrs. Cave has taught in multiple private studios across the Boulder area, working with singers in a wide range of genres. Most recently, she built and operated a successful independent voice studio serving the Boulder/Denver community, where she mentored and instructed singers of all backgrounds.

An accomplished Teacher, Professor, Entrepreneur and performing Musician with extensive experience in managing music performances and lessons, Mrs. Cave is passionate about creating memorable experiences, and ready to leverage exceptional planning and execution capabilities. At the heart of her teaching is a low-stress, creatively rich environment where students emerge feeling uplifted, energized, and ready to grow.
