Meet Blythe McCammon

Blythe McCammon is a violinist and educator based in Northern Virginia, dedicated to helping students grow into confident, expressive musicians. Drawing on experience both on stage and behind the scenes at auditions, competitions, and festivals, she offers students valuable insight into what makes a performance stand out and how to present their best work with confidence.

An active orchestral and chamber musician in the Mid-Atlantic region, Blythe has performed with ensembles including the Washington Chamber Orchestra, the National Music Festival Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, and the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed for the University System of Maryland Board of Regents and participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Rachel Barton Pine.

Blythe earned her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Towson University on a full-tuition scholarship, where she served as Concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra and received multiple awards, including the String Area Talent Award and Music Theory Division Talent Award.

She has worked with students from a wide range of musical backgrounds through orchestra programs, tutoring, and festival settings, including coaching with the Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra and teaching in Loudoun County Public Schools. She enjoys helping students prepare for auditions, competitions, and performances with a focus on strong technique, thoughtful interpretation, and confident stage presence. Her teaching emphasizes both excellence and enjoyment, creating a supportive environment where students build strong skills while developing a lifelong love of music, no matter their goals.
