Meet Gina Hibbitts

With a passion for helping students discover the joy of music, Gina Hibbitts provides personalized instruction for students of all ages and ability levels. Gina holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Flute Performance from the Boston Conservatory and a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Florida State University. She studied flute with William Grass, Charles Delaney, William Montgomery, and Robert Stallman, with additional piccolo studies with William Grass. Gina brings extensive performance and teaching experience to every lesson. She has performed on flute and piccolo with orchestras, pit orchestras, ballet troupes, chamber music ensembles, and bands. As an educator, she has spent over 16 years teaching band at the elementary and middle school levels and currently serves as a general music specialist at Wakefield Forest Elementary School in FCPS.
Known for creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment, Gina works closely with each student to develop skills, build confidence, and achieve personal musical goals. She takes the time to get to know each student and family, tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and learning styles.
Gina has a proven track record of helping students successfully earn placements in top bands and chairs.Whether a student is just beginning their musical journey or preparing for advanced opportunities, Gina’s goal is to inspire a lifelong love of music while helping each student reach their fullest potential.
