Hasan Alkhayer is a pianist and educator based in Northern Virginia, currently pursuing a B.S. in Neuroscience with a minor in Piano Performance at George Mason University. He has played piano for 14 years and studied formally for eight, four with Brooklyn Musical Arts and four with the Brooklyn Musical Academy, and completed ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Performance. As the Pianist for the Rock Ridge Marching Band, Hasan earned back-to-back Virginia 4A State Championships and placed nationally at the Bands of America Grand National Championship.

He has taught piano and music theory since 2020, guiding students through the ABRSM curriculum with repertoire spanning the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods. As a young educator, Hasan brings a fresh, relatable perspective that makes his teaching especially effective. Having learned through these same stages himself, he understands what keeps students motivated, what makes new concepts click, and how to turn challenges into progress. His approach is patient, clear, and beginner-friendly, building notation, rhythm, sight-reading, and theory step by step so students feel capable from the very first lesson and come to enjoy making music.
