Christopher Rivera is a professional drummer and instructor with over 10 years of industry experience. He has recorded and produced drums for numerous artists in the DMV and Nashville, specializing in rock, R&B, pop, jazz, funk and metal. He is currently a member of multiple bands that play throughout D.C. and the DMV area.

Christopher has worked with students from a wide variety of levels, circumstances, and age groups. His teaching style is curated to each student, applying concepts like music theory and rudiments to modern music in a fun and engaging way. As the student progresses in their knowledge of fundamentals, they are encouraged to develop their creative side and find their personal style by focusing on technique, listening, improvisation and songwriting.

Christopher utilizes his own experience to show students how their skills can be applied in the real world: live, in the studio, playing with a band, and beyond. He is passionate about each student’s success, aiming to build confidence and show them the joys that music can bring to everyday life.
